Growing up in India and spending time in places like Spain and Texas, where the strong sunshine makes colours feel so alive, has really shaped the way I use colour in my work.

The bright, vibrant light in these places is something special, and I love using it as inspiration to capture a mood or feeling, whether I’m creating an abstract piece or a more realistic painting.

I mainly work in oils because they’re perfect for building up rich layers of colour and creating the sense of light I’m always looking for. Over the years, I’ve tried out different techniques with both palette knives and brushes, exploring how light and shadow can create different moods. I enjoy making both representational and abstract art, as each gives me a different way to be creative.

Through my years working in IT, raising a family, and now enjoying time with my grandchildren, art has always been part of my life.

Creating gives me a chance to slow down, lose myself in the moment, and enjoy the simple satisfaction of making something. It’s how I express my ideas and imagination while building on the skills I’ve learned—and am still learning—along the way. Making art isn’t just fulfilling; it’s an essential part of who I am.

Along the way, I’ve studied at Hatherley’s School of Art, LARA, The Barns Atelier, Lavender Hill Studios in London, and The Norfolk School of Oil Painting.
